We are in the heart of the Cowichan Valley where art, wine, hiking, golf and the Pacific Ocean are all at our doorstep. DIRECTIONS: We are located at the historic Whippletree Junction, halfway between Victoria and Nanaimo, on the #1 Highway, 3 km. south of Duncan, the "City of Totems". A pleasant drive through picturesque land and seascape brings you to Whippletree Junction, a collection of unique shops. Directions from Victoria Airport to Pioneer House Restaurant Travel Time: approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes Distance: approx. 40 km. Driving north, take the turnoff to the right at the Access Road to Whippletree Junction. If you missed it, just turn right at the next set of lights at Bench Road and follow the Access road to the right.
Directions from Nanaimo to Pioneer House Restaurant Travel Time: approximately 45 minutes Distance: approx.40 km. Driving south turn left at the lights at Bench Road. Turn right onto the Access Road that will take you directly to Whippletree Junction. Pioneer House Restaurant is easy to see - we’re the big log building at the far side!
